My Busy Life

I feel like I haven’t posted in a while… But there is a reason. Things of been a little crazy here… working on fixing the house, working full time at my job, taking care of kids, doctors appointments, interviewing nannies and much more. There has been so much going on in this last couple weeks that I think this post will basically be an update. I am hoping to get back to my regular writing once all of this other stuff gets figured out.

Working FT and Getting a Nanny
I don’t really want to get a nanny but I don’t real have a choice right now. My initial goal was to stay home with the baby and not work at all but as you can see that didn’t work out. And I’m not a fan of day care when my baby I this little…So nanny it is. We have interviewed a few already and we have a few more to go. So far the interviews are decent. A couple of ‘no ways!’ And a couple ‘maybes’ but none have really jumped out at me and said ‘this one this one!’
I even had one chick on care.com ask me if I was willing to take my daughter to her in-home daycare and I politely said no thanks. I explained that I work from home so that I can spend time with her and not miss the good stuff. And she basically told me that ‘kids need to be around other kids and I should take that into consideration when my kid ends up antisocial.’ WTF!!!!! I can’t believe she said that to me. Because my kid isn’t going to your daycare – she’s gonna be antisocial! What!!! Good thing it’s all through email. She might get a good kick in the a**. This chick doesn’t know anything about me or my situation. Stupid beep beep beep!!! Ok I had to get that out. I feel better now. So needless to say we are still interviewing and have not found one yet.

Doctors appointments
The little girl has been in and out of doctors appointments lately. She has allergies and asthma just like her brother. She cries too hard and her asthma acts up and she can’t breathe. Then we have to give her an inhaler. Her allergies were so bad that she had a non-stop runny nose and ended up getting an ear infection….which of course she needed antibiotics for. And for those that don’t know – antibiotics – is a 4 letter word to a breastfeeding mom. So needless to say…we both got thrush.image

And as for me…, well I am one big walking medical conundrum. Let’s see, where do I start… I have thrush on my boobs. I pulled a thigh muscle working out a week ago, so now I’m limping around. My lower back is still a little tender but only because I’ve been working out and using new muscles. The herniated discs are still there but thanks to the injections I don’t feel “as much” pain anymore. My neck always hurts from sitting at my computer typing all day. And… Wait for it…Wait for it… I now have osteoarthritis in my hands, feet, and lower back.
I was a little nervous that I had rheumatoid arthritis because my mom has it so I know the signs. And my hands have been hurting really bad lately. Bad enough that I am dropping stuff. I can’t open a lot if things anymore. It’s like my fingers just stopped working and were painful every day. Then my toes started acting up too. They were starting to hurt to where I couldn’t sleep at night. So I went to the RA doc and an xray and MRI later….tada….I have a diagnosis. There is a reason for the pain. It’s called osteoarthritis. Problem is…there is no cure. All I can do is take NSAIDs (anti inflammatory pills) and pain pills…. Which mind you…because I’m breastfeeding I can’t take either one of those. So I just have to deal with the pain. Great!
And do you know how I normally deal with pain when I can’t take pills?!?!? Sugar!!! I eat lots if sugar!! Which got me to where I am today – fat – working out at the gym 5x a week and on a diet! Crap!!! Now what?!? No pain meds….no sugar….not good at meditation…what’s left…..

Oh that’s right… The snappy lady who bitches and complains about everything and makes her hubby and kids wanna run away….yep….that’s me!
